The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Sirsky, and the Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, visited all hot spots on the front, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his traditional video address to the nation, as quoted by Ukrinform.

“The front line, and in particular Avdeevka, Kupyansk and Liman. Maximum attention, maximum support. Commander-in-Chief Sirsky and Defense Minister Umerov are currently on the ground, at the front, all day. Today they visited all hot spots on the front line and reported on the situation. The existing problems are in the process of being resolved: unit manning, reinforcement, command and control. There will be reinforcement with unmanned aircraft and means of conducting radio-electronic warfare. Command posts will also be strengthened,” Zelensky said.

In an interview with the German television channel “Zen De Eff” (ZDF), the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Sirsky, assessed the situation on the battlefield as difficult and stated that Ukraine has moved from offensive to defensive operations, BTA notes.

Sirsky, who until now commanded Ukraine’s ground forces, took office on February 8, replacing Valery Zaluzhny, the agency recalls.
