This Tuesday, Vizela broke a three-month cycle without winning in the Portuguese Football League, by prevailing 1-0 at Gil Vicente, in the game that ended the 21st round of the competition. Samuel Essende, in the 12th minute, scored the goal for the Vizelenses, who had not won since the 10th round, on November 5th of last year, this being the team’s first victory under the command of coach Rúben de la Barrera. Despite the triumph, Vizela, who ended up reduced to 10 players, due to the expulsion of Sava Petrov (63 minutes), remains in the relegation zone, in 17th and penultimate place, with 16 points, while Gil Vicente, who only had lost at home to Benfica, almost six months ago, they are in 11th place, with 22.
