The performance of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has influenced the squad announced for the T20I series and two ODIs against Sri Lanka. Just as cricketers have made it to the team by performing well in the BPL, they have also been dropped due to poor performance.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the team yesterday on Tuesday (February 13). However, three edition captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto had no opinion on the announced team. Selector Abdur Razzak said it was not possible to take advice as Shanta became the captain and the team was announced on the day of Pithapithi.
Razzak told the media in Chittagong on Wednesday (February 14), ‘He (Shant) was not the captain then. The party was announced (finalized) before his name was announced. He will have input from now on.’
