“24 hours” for a week has 11 names, but will not announce them before the institutions that owe answers to the people

Did magistrates visit Martin Bojanov’s secret club? Are there judges, prosecutors, investigators and police officers with chip club cards for the establishment, and if they did, what did they do? Do names of people from the judicial system and the Ministry of Internal Affairs appear in files related to the lobbyist nicknamed the Notary? Do the prosecutor’s office, DANS, GDBOP and SDVR know about them, or have they conveniently turned a blind eye?

These questions concern people after Bojanov’s murder. After his shooting, it suddenly emerged that since 2004, the state prosecution had 25 files and pre-trial proceedings against the 50-year-old man, who, despite his nickname, had no evidence of having studied law. However, they have not reached court.

Names of magistrates, however, went to the media.

“24 Chasa” also acquired a week ago unofficially with a list of 11 people. It has four judges, two prosecutors from the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office, two from the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, one from the bench, one from the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office and one investigator.

It is noteworthy that although it is claimed that the club was in the “Geo Milev” quarter, in order to be close to the building of the special prosecutor’s office and the special court,

We asked the magistrates listed in it if they knew Martin Bojanov and if they had visited his club. All flatly denied.

Therefore, until the official announcement of the names of judges, prosecutors, investigators and police officers, for whom there is evidence that they stretched an umbrella over Bojanov, we do not allow ourselves to indicate specific names.

As it became clear, the parliament also received lists of magistrates with membership cards. Probably, there are such in the prosecutor’s office and in the Ministry of the Interior. Although i.f. chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov denied that such information had reached him, and in the pre-trial proceedings against Bojanov’s group, which is in the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, they will search for him. The Chief Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior, Zhivko Kotsev, also denied that the Ministry of the Interior has a list. Including the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the state prosecution, they do not say whether over the years they have worked on information about the Notary’s closeness with people from the judicial system.

Listings appear selectively on various sites, as specified

new ones are added

Which leads to the idea that they may be released with the aim of being discredited. A similar version was not ruled out by the personnel from the SCC, who on Tuesday listened to Borislav Sarafov about the secret club.

It is likely that more specifics will be announced after the temporary commission of inquiry in the parliament is operational. Gen. Atanas Atanasov from PP-DB did not hide that he had information. He promised that he would provide it to his colleagues on the committee.

“What I received in the mail is not quite a list, but very interesting material about how the Notary operated in the court system and settled cases. All this can be described in one word – corruption”, he announced a few days ago.

It is likely that the committee in the parliament will listen not only to Borislav Sarafov, who has already informed the SJC of what he knows about the “Bozhanov” case, but also to the leaderships of the Ministry of the Interior and the State Security Service.

Justice Minister Atanas Slavov assured that he does not have lists. However, he announced that he would initiate disciplinary proceedings against the magistrates who visited the club, if such were found.

A day ago, Nikolay Staykov from the Anti-Corruption Fund, who first enlightened the Notary, revealed that in private conversations magistrates told him that they received cards, but returned them. However, he also asked whether officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were also visitors.

Indeed, until now in the public space there is no mention of employees of the internal department and its structures, although it is already known that Bojanov had a blue jar on his car, and police patrols were watching for the tranquility of the visitors of the closed club.
