The refinery should contribute BGN 69 million to the Energy Security Fund, but it has contributed BGN 45 million, Economy Minister Bogdan Bogdanov told two parliamentary committees

“To date, Lukoil has no unpaid debts to the treasury, everything has been paid on time. There are proceedings in the judicial phase, but nothing is unpaid.”

This was stated by the executive director of the National Revenue Agency Rumen Spetsov. He was invited to the joint meeting of two parliamentary committees – on economic policy and innovation and on energy.

The two committees are meeting on the implementation of the Law on Compensation of Transport Consumer Costs. At the meeting, it became clear that the law enters into force when a derogation is obtained from the EU for its implementation.

Spetsov also informed the deputies that the amount collected, which has been transferred to the Energy Security Fund so far, is slightly over BGN 45 million.

Before him, the deputies listened to the Economy Minister Bogdan Bogdanov. He stated that according to the methodology of the Ministry of Economy, “Lukoil” should contribute BGN 69 million to the Security Fund for December last year. The average price of a variety of Russian oil originating in Russia is based on the price that is imposed at the moment – 60 dollars per barrel, explained Bogdanov. According to the formula, the contribution that Lukoil must make is BGN 69 million. To at the moment, the amount that has been contributed is less to the “Security of the Electric Power System” Fund, said Bogdanov. He promised that they will soon announce the amount of the contribution that “Lukoil” must make for the month of January
