“Ludogorets” drew a strategic 0:0 in its first match to enter the 1/8-finals of the Conference League football tournament against the Swiss “Servet” in Geneva.

The match started at 10:00 p.m. Bulgarian time, and in the first half both teams did not have many chances to score a goal, although at the very beginning the Bulgarians looked like the dominant team on the field.

Former CSKA defender Bradley Maziku played one half in Geneva for the home team, who received a yellow card for a foul against Bernard Tekpetei.

It is a curious fact that for the first time during the visit to the country of watches, Ludogorets did not allow a shot in his goal.

After the break, the hosts applied sustained pressure, conceding a number of goal-scoring chances that are accepted to be called clear.

The most glaring omission for the home team came from Antunes eight minutes before the end.

He was left uncovered on the left and shot but Enzo Crivelli blocked his team-mate’s shot.

In the 86th minute came the first shot of “Ludogorets” in the second half, after the Pole Piotrowski perfectly saw the uncovered Aslak Von Vitry on the right.

The Dutchman sent a powerful shot into the near corner of the goalkeeper, but the ball did not find the outline of the goal.

The second leg is in three weeks in Razgrad.

Here are the starters selected by coaches Rene Weiler and Georgi Dermendzhiev:

“Napkin”: Jeremy Frick, Keigo Tsunemoto, Steve Rouille, Ioan Severin, Bradley Maziku, Miroslav Stepanovic, Theo Mannin, Gael Ondua, Bendeguz Bola, Jeremy Guillemeno, Enzo Crivelli.

“Ludogorets”: Sergio Padt, Aslak von Vitry, Sonko Sundberg, Olivier Verdon, Son, Jakub Piotrowski, Pedro Naresi, Claude Gonzalves, Bernard Tekpetei, Kwadwo Dua, Caio Vidal.
