A people’s protest demanding the lifting of the ban on terrorism has begun in Kilinochchi today. About the event It was started by the Youth Front in the Sri Lanka Tamil National Party. The inaugural event was held at 8.30 am today at the Kilinochchi Service Market premises under the chairmanship of Tanaraj, the Kilinochchi District Member of the Youth Front of the Tamil Nadu Party.
The event was attended by Member of Parliament C. Sreedharan, Karachi Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Velamalikithan, Karachi Pradeshiya Sabha members, businessmen and the general public.
Meanwhile, Divania’s daughter, who was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, was also present at the event and signed.
