The orders signed today by President Ilham Aliyev once again indicate that the social protection of families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities is in the center of constant attention of the head of state, and that they are surrounded by high care.
As Day.Az was informed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, the decree “On amendments to the order No. 3493 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 29, 2022” On financing from state compulsory personal insurance funds of activities related to social protection and social security persons with established disabilities due to war, and families of martyrs” provides for an extension of its validity period. For this purpose, the words “2022 and 2023” in Part I of the previous order were replaced with the words “2022-2025”.
Let us note that the current legislation provides for the use of insurance funds generated from received insurance premiums for state compulsory personal insurance to finance activities related to social protection and social security of persons with established disabilities in connection with the war and families of martyrs.
In the new order of the head of state “On amendments to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2449 dated January 25, 2021” “On a number of measures related to improving the social and living conditions of persons with established disabilities and families of martyrs in connection with the protection of territorial integrity, independence and constitutional system of the Republic of Azerbaijan” states that in paragraph 1.2 of the previous order the words “2020-2022” were replaced with the words “2020-2023”.
Thus, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, during the period covered by the new order (2021-2025), provides for the gradual provision of apartments or private houses to the families of martyrs and persons who were registered with local executive authorities as needy in housing and whose disability was established in connection with the protection of the territorial integrity, independence, and constitutional system of Azerbaijan during local anti-terrorist measures in Karabakh in 2023.
