THE Women’s national polo “touched” the qualification in his final World Championship of Doha, but fell short, bowing out on penalties and missing out on a chance to claim the gold medal.
Our representative group was defeated in the semi-final of the competition with 13-11 on penalties by Hungary, in a match where he had the longest lead. In fact, it was tied (9-9), 21 seconds before the end.
In the penalty shoot-out the Magyars were cooler and got the ticket for the final on Friday (16/2), where they will face the USA (as in 2022 in Budapest), while on the morning of the same day, at 11:00, the Greek team will claim the bronze medal against Spain.
