Enough outgoing transfers. Someone has to play. We all miss him, but Welton was the soul of the team.
This was said by the coach of “Levski” Nikolay Kostov at a press conference before the first game of the “blues” in the spring part of the championship. The people of Sofia visit “Pirin” in Blagoevgrad.
As well as the former coach of the “blues” Murray Stoilov, the current one expressed mostly concerns about the pitches in Bulgaria in February and March.
“Many of the teams play hard against Pirin, especially on their home ground. We are aware of this fact. The most worrisome is the field on which we will play. We don’t like playing on worse pitches. This is perhaps the most worrying. I can say that it is a mystery to us what the team is like without the five main players who left. We can’t wait to see. Controls are friendly matches,” said Kostov.
“All the new players around the world are given more time to adapt to their teammates, to the atmosphere, to the championship itself. So are ours, but we want, we don’t want, we have to trust them to replace those who left. I believe they are of good quality. I hope to adapt quickly to the championship in Bulgaria”.
The coach explained that the “blues” tried to attract the two people from the First League – Angel Bastunov from “Heber” and Alexander Kolev from “Krumovgrad”.
“We had talks about Bastunov, things didn’t work out. It was the same with Kolev. We are looking for footballers from South America”.
“I really like my players at the moment and their attitude towards the training process. I am optimistic about what I saw from the preparation period. I am extremely pleased, I can’t wait for the championship to start”, said the coach of “Levski”.
“I have been in charge of the team for half a season and it is already more or less clear to me who suits the style of this club. They will continue to be under my supervision. I am very happy that Levski is already listed as one of the teams in Europe. Very is good for our club,” concluded Kostov.
