One of the most famous Bulgarian sprinters, Ivet Lalova-Kolio, will be the chairman of the athletes’ commission at the Bulgarian Athletics Federation, reports the headquarters.

The Athletes’ Commission is a subsidiary body to the BFLA Governing Council in matters affecting the interests of athletes in the field of competitions, programs, participation, coaches, managers, medical and anti-doping rules, sponsorship, advertising rules and others.

The Bulgarian 100 meter record holder Lalova-Kolio has over 20 years of experience in the Bulgarian national team and participates in similar commissions for European and World Athletics. She is the European champion in 100 meters from Helsinki 2012 and 200 meters in indoor from Madrid 2005 and has participated in five Olympic Games, dozens of world and European championships.

The commission will have five more members, famous Bulgarian athletes who are in different types of disciplines:

Stanislav Stankov – steeplechase

Valentin Andreev – throws

Tihomir Ivanov and Gabriela Petrova – jumps

Militsa Mircheva – middle and long distance running and sports walking

Yvette Lalova-Colio – sprint and chairman of the commission
