On the occasion of the 137th anniversary of the birth of the intellectual, scientist, journalist and translator, famous Azerbaijani Seid Rza Alizade, a spiritual and educational event was held in Samarkand with the participation of the administration of the Samarkand region, the regional department of the Organization of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, the Samarkand regional department of Uzbekistan and the regional department of information and mass communications, the press service of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev told Day.Az.
The event, organized at the Samarkand general secondary school No. 14 named after Seyid Rza Alizade, began with honoring the memory of the prominent educator in front of his bust installed in the school.
Deputy regional government of Samarkand Rustam Gabilov highly appreciated the activities of the prominent educator, who left a mark on the history of Uzbekistan, and noted that his dear memory is always remembered with deep respect.
Inspector of the Heydar Aliyev Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Uzbekistan Karimulla Mammadzade spoke about the educational activities of Seyid Rza Alizade among the peoples of Central Asia and emphasized his great merits in educating a scientific and educated generation. Speaking about the study of the life, creativity and literary heritage of Seyid Rza Alizade, he said that on the initiative and organization of the ACC, the Azerbaijan Center named after Seyid Rza Alizade was opened at Samarkand State University, in the ACC his bust was installed in the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Museum, and a corner dedicated to his life and work, and in the future many projects related to the work of the prominent educator will be implemented.
Member of the Senate of the Milli Majlis of Uzbekistan, editor-in-chief of the Zarafshan newspaper Farman Toshev emphasized that Seyid Rza Alizadeh made a great contribution to the development of the national press of Uzbekistan by actively participating in the creation of newspapers and magazines in Samarkand and as the first editor of the Samarkand newspaper (now Zarafshan “).
The grandson of Seyid Rza Farhad Alizade spoke about the rich scientific and educational heritage left by his grandfather.
The stage performance and poetic compositions prepared by schoolchildren about Seyid Rza Alizade were met with interest. Then the participants of the event visited the grave of the enlightener at the Punjab cemetery in the city of Samarkand, and also visited the house-museum.
The library of the house-museum of Seyid Rza Alizadeh was presented with a collection of books published about our country under the project of the ACC.
