A 34-year-old woman died in a traffic accident in Lachen on Thursday afternoon. The fatal accident occurred when she was crossing the street at the Seestrasse / Äussere Haab junction. She was hit by a construction vehicle and died at the scene of the accident.
At the same time, a 62-year-old man wanted to cross the street and was also hit by the motor cart. He suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to hospital.
The vehicle involved in the accident was driven by a 17-year-old man. He was uninjured in the accident, police said. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
