Hajj Registration and Requirements in Saudi Arabia – Everything You Need to Know!

Riyadh: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has clarified that women can perform Hajj without being accompanied by a mahram i.e. a close male relative. Based on this, Mahram is not mandatory for women performing Hajj regardless of which domestic service company or institution they are under.

The minimum age for performing Hajj is 15 years. There is no upper age limit. Only those with a Saudi ID card and Iqama can register for Hajj. The issuance of Haj permits will start from Shawwal 15 through Abshir, the Ministry of Interior’s online service platform. Then the Hajj registration will be suspended on the 7th of Dhul Hajj.

Hajj registration for local and foreign pilgrims in Saudi Arabia has already started. You can register through the website www.localhaj.haj.gov.sa or through the Nusk app. The Hajj packages divided into four categories require different amounts to be paid. You have to pay the selected package amount while completing the registration process.

There are four packages for domestic pilgrims. The package which provides accommodation in thumps developed to provide comfortable services to the pilgrims costs 10,366.10 Rials, the second package which provides accommodation in thumps in Minai costs 8,092.55 Rials, the third category which provides accommodation in the towers near Jamra Complex costs 13,266.25 Rials and the fourth package which is the economy category costs 4,099.75 Rials. But this does not include travel expenses to and from Makkah.
