Bulgaria is high on the list of British interests because we are strong partners in NATO, in energy, we work together on issues such as illegal migration, but above all we are strong partners in aid to Ukraine. This is what David Cameron, the foreign minister of the United Kingdom, said in the “Panorama” program on BNT.
According to him, NATO is perhaps the most successful alliance in history.
“We have managed to keep the peace in Europe for the last more than 50 years. Bulgaria is an important part of this. The 20th anniversary of your NATO membership is approaching. Great Britain appreciates Bulgaria’s contribution – our armed forces are conducting joint exercises,” he added.
David Cameron noted that Britain stands firmly behind the commitments it has made to protect smaller members from possible Russian aggression.
“We have all heard Trump’s words – I would say that Europe is safe when the American, British and European powers work together and stay united. This is what we have to fight for,” he believes.
