The arduous and exhaustive police operation carried out by the Police Stations and Divisions of the UR II, began last night and ended this morning with the arrest of Roberto Sebastián B. (28) and the delay of Verenice (15), both involved in the attack on a 21-year-old man who was stabbed to steal his motorcycle.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when Facundo M. (22) was traveling on his 110 cc Gilera Smash motorcycle, being attacked by those involved who tried to steal his motorcycle. When he resisted, the attacker stabbed him in the chest and fled with the minor, without taking possession of the vehicle. The young man managed to reach his aunt’s home, located near the place, where they contacted his father who transferred him to the Samic Hospital in Oberá.
With the information provided by the victim, UR II police activated a lock operation and, around 1:35 a.m., the Investigations Division found them traveling along Picada Argentina Street, almost Caroba, where they fled but were caught. The attacker tenaciously opposed the procedure, injuring a police officer and a corporal with the knife, and was finally arrested. The minor was caught by police from the Fifth Section on Madreselva and Caroba streets and, by order of justice, she was transferred to the Police Station where she will be handed over to her aunt for safekeeping and care.
During the procedure, the knife-type weapon used by the detainee was seized and, at the home of the victim’s relative, (01) a blue T-shirt with a hole in the left pectoral area and blood stains. The Scientific Police carried out survey and expert tasks at the scene.
Regarding the state of health of the injured, the police doctor reported that the 21-year-old young man underwent surgery on the left pectoral area, and was admitted to the Hospital with a reserved prognosis. The police officers suffered cuts on his limbs, for which treatment was performed.
The detainee, who remains housed in the Fifth Police Station at the disposal of the judge on duty, has extensive records of crimes against property and people – 3 of them with the use of a knife – and in August 2021 he regained his freedom after remaining nine years. arrested in UP II Oberá for a qualified robbery.
