1 of our soldiers was martyred and 1 of our soldiers was injured in the conflict with terrorists in the Claw-Lock Operation area. According to initial findings, 6 terrorists were neutralized.
The statement made by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense is as follows:
“In the Claw-Lock Operation Region, on February 17, 2024, BTÖ members attempted to infiltrate our base area, and in the conflict that ensued, our heroic comrade-in-arms P. Söz. Private Salih AY was martyred and one of our heroic comrades was injured. Our injured personnel was immediately transferred to the hospital and his treatment was started. According to initial findings, six terrorists were neutralized in the conflict that broke out. Operations in the region continue.
“In this incident that left us with deep pain and sadness, we wish God’s mercy on our beloved martyr who lost his life, our condolences and patience to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces and our noble nation, and we wish a speedy recovery to our injured personnel.”
