Tragedy in the city of Muncie: A 5-year-old ultra-Orthodox girl was hit by a school bus – and killed.
The girl, Tova Neuman A.H., got off the school bus of the Yatev Lev Satmar community, which was taking her from school – not far from her home, near South Madison Avenue and West Funston Avenue in Spring Valley.
The bus driver did not notice the girl and hit her around 11:20.
Volunteers of the ‘Rescue’ organization were called to the scene and started CPR, but unfortunately they had no choice but to determine her death.
The driver, according to the reports, was found at the scene confused by the disaster.
Spring Valley Police are investigating the fatal accident.
Members of the organizations ‘Messing’ and ‘Hesed Shel Emet’ arrived at the scene to take care of the body.
Her funeral left at 14:00 in the afternoon from Beit Midrash and Yoel Moshe Satmar, to the local cemetery.
