The independent international rating agency Morgan Stanley Capital Index rated Energean’s performance with the highest possible AAA rating, ranking it in the top 17% and in the Leader category among a total of 108 companies it monitors internationally from the field of natural gas exploration and production gas and oil.


As the company announced, the overall score it received is 21.1% higher than the industry average, while, in terms of individual criteria, it is higher by 47.5% in Environment, by 5.2% in Society and by 13% in Corporate Governance. Especially in the Environment sub-categories, the company scored higher by 105.8% in terms of carbon emissions, by 79.3% in terms of biodiversity and land use and by 63.3% in terms of other emissions and waste, in relative to the industry average.
