The German group Anima Shirvani presented a musical mini-film “Die Große Seidenstraße” (The Great Silk Road) for the concert program of the same name.

As Day.Az reports, the artistic director of the group, musician Tural Ismailov, told Trend about this.

The goal of the project is to unite people of different cultures in dialogue with each other through music and promote mutual understanding of cultures in modern society, aimed at breaking down prejudices and deepening mutual cultural understanding, providing space for dialogue and communication.

“Based on important events along the Silk Road, a project is being created that covers the musical arc between the centers of political activity on the once most important trade route connecting Venice with Istanbul, Granada with Shamakhi and Isfahan. Work on the film took more than a year, filming took place in Baku, Venice, Istanbul, Berlin and Granada,” said Tural Ismailov.

The program of the “Great Silk Road” included compositions of the ancient Azerbaijani mugham, the great Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov, as well as Italian composers of the Renaissance and Baroque.
