Work is underway in Azerbaijan to automate tax control processes.
As Day.Az reports on Thursday with reference to Trend, the head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Nazirli, said this during the forum “Tax system in a new period of development: strategic goals for a sustainable economy”, held in Baku.
Nazirli noted that in the coming period, measures will be continued to improve digital platforms in accordance with new tasks in the tax administration of Azerbaijan.
“The main line here is the creation of new administrative services capable of accepting changes in tax legislation and achieving a deepening level of digitalization. In addition to automating electronic services provided to taxpayers, the State Tax Service is also working on automating tax control processes. The main target areas will include simplifying tax administration through digitalization, reducing the time spent by businesses on complying with tax laws as a result of increasing the availability and quality of tax data, as well as the ability to build information systems based on artificial intelligence modules,” he added.
It should be noted that at the forum “Tax system in a new period of development: strategic goals for a sustainable economy” in Baku, new challenges in the field of tax administration were discussed. During the forum, an exchange of views took place on the growing role of tax authorities in economic regulation, priorities for the development of the business environment, the active participation of entrepreneurs in generating budget revenues and building transparent state-business relations.
