BTA reminds that pre-trial proceedings have been initiated on the case, and earlier today an inspection was carried out by employees of the Regional Administration. Yesterday, at 8:40 p.m., a report of a loud noise and explosion in the area of the customs office in Kazanlak was reported to the Fire Department’s Operations Center. A fire engine of the Regional Office for Fire Safety and Protection of the Population from Kazanlak was sent to the scene, which found that one of the containers with diethyl ether had exploded in a truck. As a result, the roof part of the vehicle was destroyed, and a neighboring truck with Haskovo registration was affected. Around 1:00 a.m., a team from Plovdiv was called with specialized equipment for measuring the harmful substances in the air, in order to determine whether there is an explosive concentration or harmful substances that are spread in the air. It was established that everything is within normal limits and there is no danger to the population in the vicinity.
