Won over Arna-Bjørnar / Brann

by time news

All of Bergen is counting down to the quarter-finals at Åsane Arena on March 20 at 9 p.m. There is a great demand for tickets, and you can read information about this here. While the supporters work to get tickets, the players work to stay in shape. Then it helps a lot with a training match of three times 25 minutes at Åsane Arena.

There wasn’t as much demand for the tickets for this match, but there was still a good group that lined up in Åsane on a spring Saturday. They saw a Brann team that dominated the game, but still struggled to get the ball into the goal. Chances were created every now and then, some of them big, but Arna-Bjørnar mostly had good control over the Brann attacks.

When the referee blew for the second break, it was still 0–0. Brann had then made a whole bunch of changes. Among other things, the new signing Anna Aahjem came in at the top, while the talent Ragnhild Skage took a place at right back. Although the goals didn’t flow in like they did in the previous practice match, it was nice to see new players in action.

For the third round, 15-year-old Heidi Steinsbø Halbmayr entered. The talent from Bømlo has managed to score many goals for Stord, and she looks set to continue doing so in Brann. About ten minutes before the end, Anna Aahjem received the ball in the field. She pulled herself down and went for the finish from an angle. The ball was blocked and bounced down just in front of the goal. An alert Halbmayr lunged forward and managed to push the ball over the line. Is it one of Brann’s youngest goalscorers of all time?

Not long after, Brann doubled the lead, and then you could see what Aahjem has to offer. She received the ball at around 20 meters and knocked it into the crossbar. A wonderful score! It was also the last of the match – Brann won 2–0 against Arna-Bjørnar.
