At the Heydar Aliyev Center of the Surakhani region, under the organization of the Main Department of Culture of the city of Baku, a meeting was held with the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Nisa Gasimova, the press service of the department told Day.Az. The event was held within the framework of the project “Qonağımız var” (We have a guest).
At the beginning of the event, the national anthem of Azerbaijan was played, and a minute of silence was observed in honor of the blessed memory of the martyrs who gave their lives in the name of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
At the evening, they spoke about the merits of the People’s Artist in the development of the musical culture of Azerbaijan, as well as about her life and creative activity.
It was noted that Nisa Gasimova was born in Baku, graduated from the Institute of Arts (now – Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts), was a soloist of the children’s choir “Bənövşa” and the ensemble “Lalə girls”. In 1972, Gasimova began a collaboration with the famous composer Alekper Tagiyev. The songs “Qeshakdir”, “Eşqimi sünməka koymaram”, “Azərbaycan kızızyam” and others became hits in her performance in the 1970s.
Nisa Gasimova performed in Denmark, Iceland, Germany, Russia and other countries. In addition to her singing career, Nisa Gasimova was the host of various shows on Azerbaijani television channels. In October 2017, Nisa Gasimova and the group “Qara Dərviş” presented a rock version of one of the singer’s most popular songs, “Yalandı dünya”.
During the meeting, Nisa Gasimova performed popular songs from her repertoire, among them “Dunya Gezallerim”, “Sénın eşqin”, “Səni görüm gerek”, “Yada tülənde”, “Gözlarına göz tərər”, “Sənsən lizim”. The performance of the national artist caused stormy applause from the public.
