Victoria Swarovski considers the first “Let’s Dance” moderation to be a “failure”

by time news

When Victoria Swarovski hosted her first “Let’s Dance” show in 2018, she received heavy criticism. Today, seven years later, she is also critical of her moderation skills back then.

Victoria Swarovski is now an integral part of the “Let’s Dance” family. She has been hosting the show alongside Daniel Hartwich since 2018. When the 17th season starts in a few days, it will be the seventh moderation assignment for Victoria, who won the show as a candidate in 2016. The Austrian is now a real moderation professional. But the moderation job wasn’t that easy for her right from the start. After her first show, Victoria even had to face severe criticism. Now in an interview she is very self-critical about her beginnings on “Let’s Dance”.

Victoria Swarovski’s “Let’s Dance” debut was an “absolute failure”

At RTL magazine “GalaVictoria revealed how much fun she still has with the show even after seven years: “I just feel at home. I just really enjoy doing it.” She now sees her beginnings as a “Let’s Dance” presenter critically: “I think we all know the show. My very first show was an absolute failure. And I really just sat there and thought to myself, “For God’s sake, I still have 14 to go.” How do I do that?”

Of all things, co-host Daniel Hartwich was unable to attend her second show due to illness – a double acid test for Victoria, as she had to do without the support of her experienced colleague. “I was exhausted. But I think I got used to it quite well and developed further and now I’m doing it for the seventh time,” she says, describing her progress as a presenter. The 30-year-old sees the fact that she didn’t let the initial harsh criticism get her down and is still there today as a sign that you can do anything if you persevere.
