The consumer price index in Azerbaijan in January 2024 increased by 1.7 percent compared to the same period last year, Day.Az reported on Tuesday.
Let us note that at the end of December the consumer price index was 2.1 percent.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, prices for food, drinks and tobacco products increased by 0.7 percent over the year. Non-food products rose in price by 1.7 percent, and paid services to the population – by 3.2 percent.
In January 2024, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month.

Let us recall that the consumer price index in Azerbaijan in 2023 increased by 8.8 percent compared to the previous year. Prices for food, drinks and tobacco products increased by 9.6 percent over the year. Non-food products rose in price by 8.4 percent, and paid services to the population – by 8.2 percent.
In December 2023, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous month and by 2.1 percent compared to the same month in 2022.
