THE Michael Tabakakis he was the guest on the set of the show “Kalytera de geda” on Sunday, February 18. The actor talked about the TV proposals he had for the current year and why he said yes to Mega Wreck.
He characteristically stated that he wants to choose different characters each time, in order not to be stigmatized by one role.
Regarding his beginning and the development of his career, Michael Tabakakis said: “It’s also luck because some things came and found me. Some others I feel that I went towards them. Some were auditions, some were not.
I had a lot of suggestions this year, but it wasn’t hard to choose because they suggested things that were very close to what I did last year. I didn’t want to play him in love.
At Navagio I thought I would do something different. People haven’t identified me with a character. They recognize me from one, from the other, from the theater. I like that I have not been stigmatized with a role,” said Michael Tabakakis.
As he revealed, he didn’t think he would become an actor since he was young, but he had a tendency towards art. His hobbies ranged from music, painting, and his school’s theater group. He started studying at the University of Piraeus and stopped when he took exams at the drama school of the National Theatre.
At 28, he maintains a childlike face, which has not limited him in his repertoire, since he always adapts to the character he plays in the theater and on television. He considers talent the ability to live in the “now” and accept the moment without being taken away by preconceptions.
