Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu has sought Japan’s cooperation to increase employment and increase exportable products.

On Monday (February 19), the Minister of State for Commerce sought the country’s cooperation during a courtesy meeting with Japanese Ambassador Iwama Kiminri.

The Prime Minister has declared Handicrafts as the Product of the Year, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu said, “Government is working to increase employment and increase exportable products through ‘One Village, One Product’ programme. We hope that Japan will cooperate with its experience to make this program successful.

Ambassador of Japan Iwama Kiminri applauded the program and assured cooperation. He said, Japan wants to strengthen relations with Bangladesh. Japan is interested in working as a partner in the development of Bangladesh. I wish Bangladesh to participate in World Expo to be held in Japan next year.

The Minister of State for Commerce mentioned the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Japan and said that Japan is Bangladesh’s development partner. Seeking cooperation in expanding trade between the two countries.
