A driver who had consumed alcohol tried to escape from a police check, but crashed and flipped his car onto the ceiling. This was announced by the spokesman of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Pazardzhik, Miroslav Stoyanov.

The case is from that night, when a car patrol gave a signal with a stop baton to the driver of a “BMW” to stop for an inspection. He disobeyed the law enforcement authorities and continued on his way.

A little later, the uniformed officers found him crashed on one of the streets in the Pazardzhik village of Debrshitsa. It turned out that the fugitive lost control over the German vehicle and it overturned on the sides of the road. The man in it is a 49-year-old resident of the neighboring village of Tsrancha.

His breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol concentration of 1.62. Four more quick proceedings have been instituted against drivers of motor vehicles for the period from Friday to today, added Stoyanov.

During routine checks, drivers of two cars and a moped, which did not have registration plates, were detected.

The three were driving their vehicles with breath alcohol concentrations between 1.25 and 2.41 per million.

Another driver was found to be driving a car under the influence of drugs.

One was stopped with a car that used foreign license plates.
