The Directorate of Agricultural Economy of the Region of Epirus informs all interested parties that the no. 2404/12-12-2023 pre-publication of the 1st invitation to submit applications for support for inclusion in the intervention P3-75.1 “Establishment of Young Farmers” of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (SS CAP) of Greece 2023 – 2027.


The objective of the intervention P3-75.1 – Establishment of Young Farmers is to attract and retain young farmers in the sector, to facilitate sustainable business development in rural areas as well as to promote employment, development, gender equality, including participation of women in agriculture.
In this context, it is foreseen to provide flat-rate financial support to young people, who have not exceeded 40 years of age, for entering and staying in agricultural employment and their first establishment, as leaders, in agricultural holdings.
Intervention P3-75.1 is co-financed by the European Union (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development “EGTAA”) and the Greek State. Natural and legal persons have the right to submit an application for support.
The reference year of the support application is defined as 2024. Therefore, the support application is drawn up based on the accepted Single Support Application (SSA) of the year 2024.
The amount of support varies from 30,000 to 42,500 euros depending on the basic direction of the agricultural holding in the future situation and the area of ​​permanent residence.
A condition for participating in the program is that the size of the production capacity (expressed as standard yield) is greater than or equal to 12,000 euros or 10,000 euros or 8,000 euros depending on the place of permanent residence.
Beneficiaries undertake, among other things, the obligation to submit and successfully execute a business plan for the development of their agricultural holding up to the completion of four years from the date of their inclusion in the measure, as well as to acquire the status of professional farmer and maintain it for four years from the year of completion of their business plan.
Also, in the year of completion of their business plan, they must achieve a standard return increased by at least 20% in relation to the standard return of the initial situation and in any case greater than 16,000 euros or 14,000 euros or 10,700 euros depending on the place of permanent residence.
