Zuccarello with three assists in an incredible recovery
Mats Zuccarello scored his tenth goal of the season and had three assists as the Minnesota Wild beat the Vancouver Canucks 10-7 in the NHL on Monday.
Five goals in just over five minutes at the start of the third period turned the game around for the Wild, who took a very strong victory with it.
Zuccarello’s goal came just before the end of the second period. The Norwegian finished from the side before the puck went through a Canucks defender, under goalkeeper Casey DeSmith and into the net.
The score reduced the game to 3-5 and gave the Wild hope before the third period. There Wild got an early advantage and took full advantage of it. In just one minute and 44 seconds, the home team scored three times, and Zuccarello had an assist on all of them.
The Norwegian hit smart passes that his teammates put in the net. Swedish Joel Eriksson Ek scored a hat trick and had three assists in the victory. Kirill Kaprizov also recorded three goals and three assists.
Zuccarello now has 44 goal points in 46 games this season. (NTB)
