Anna Ermakova says in a new documentary that her parents’ “broom closet affair” was difficult for her.
When the 23-year-old introduces herself to people, that’s the first thing they ask her about.

In her new “RTL” documentary, Anna Ermakova (23) finds clear words about her family and the “broom closet affair” of her mother Angela (56) and her father Boris Becker (56).
“Most children don’t know how they came to be. “It’s all open to me,” says Anna. When she meets someone and says her name, that’s the first thing she’s asked about. “It’s not easy growing up with this and I often felt lonely,” says the singer. She still doesn’t want to blame anyone for what happened.
“I had a lot of lows in my life.”

The winner of “Let’s Dance” remembers what it was like to grow up under the public eye. “My grandmother once took me to the school bus and photographers hid in the trees to take our photos,” says Anna. “I wouldn’t say I was hated, but I definitely wasn’t liked.”
She was constantly told that she only owed her success to her famous father, Boris Becker. «I have often wished that I came from a normal family. I had a lot of lows in my life,” Anna continues.
What happened in the “Broom Chamber Monkey”?
The “broom closet affair” between Boris Becker and Angela Ermakova is still making headlines even after 20 years. At that time, the tennis star and the model conceived their daughter Anna in a luxury restaurant in London – not in a reduit, but on a staircase to the toilets, as the 56-year-old once revealed.
In his Apple TV+ documentary “Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker», Becker spoke about the evening in question and the general relationship with Ermakova and humiliated his daughter in the process.
Becker revealed in the documentary that he had no contact with Ermakova before or after the evening. He also never had her number: “We got together and had sex and that was it.”

The 56-year-old hit back at “Bild”: “I met Boris in February – a few months before the night in question. He called me many times after that. Also on the day he lost his last Wimbledon game. He wanted to meet me. On June 30, 1999.”
The native Russian found harsh words: “In the past few years I have not returned to this morass, I have not responded to Boris’ statements because I wanted to spare my daughter additional pain. I love her so much. But her father suffers from verbal diarrhea and cannot keep his mouth shut even 23 years after this event.”
