When Zidane raved about Bayern
FC Bayern is in a crisis and threatens to end the season without a title. In the event of a separation from head coach Thomas Tuchel, Zinedine Zidane could become an issue in Munich – who has already been to Säbener Straße.

A few potential successors were already brought into play in the media the day after the Bochum game. The Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport named an extremely prominent name: French icon Zinédine Zidane is said to be “the first name in Bayern’s thoughts,” as the newspaper reports.
It wouldn’t be the first time that Zidane would appear at FC Bayern’s training ground.

In March 2015, the French superstar sat in on Säbener Straße for three days with a group of trainers from France – including Willy Sagnol, Claude Makélélé and Bernard Diomede – to get an idea of the training of then FCB coach Pep Guardiola make.

Zidane was a youth coach at Real Madrid at the time – and won the Champions League with the Royals in the three following years (2016-2018) as head coach.
“I am very impressed”
“Bayern is a big club, one of the top 5 in the world, but at the same time it remains very familiar. “I’m very impressed,” admitted the 1998 world champion in an interview with FCB.tv.
Is there now a real commitment from Munich? According to Bild information, there is said to have been no contact between Zidane and FC Bayern, but the 51-year-old is said to be monitoring the situation with the German record champions more closely.
“It is always my goal to become a coach again. I’m currently taking more time for other things. But the goal is to come back,” Zidane explained in a recent interview on beIN Sports.
