The special municipality of Isla de la Juventud is in mourning after the death of a young man while fishing was announced.
According to the information that transcends social networks, the boy responded to the name of Joaquín Catmona Vásquez, 33 years old.
Niover Licea specified in its report that the young man was born in the city of Gerona, Isle of Youth.
“While fishing, apparently he got tangled with something, they say, and he didn’t come out, he drowned, which is why there is a lot of sadness within the community,” Licea said.
“The boy was very loved, he was a family man, there is a lot of sadness and his colleagues, the truth is, are very devastated,” he added.
Images of the young man have been seen on social networks, who looked very happy when he was fishing, taking into account that this was his job.

Likewise, in the comments of the publication on Instagram, some Internet users assured that Joaquín began fishing when he was 10 years old.
“This boy was one of my first students and at the age of 10 he loved going fishing. EPD Joaquín,” said user @yaumarisg.
“Wahooo, my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Sadness EPD,” added the Internet user who responds to @paz_florecita’s profile.
It is worth remembering that, weeks ago, it was announced that two people, including a minor, were declared missing in Rancho Luna, province of Cienfuegos. Apparently, both were fishing at the time they disappeared.
Some versions indicate that both the Cuban boy and the fisherman were found by a fishing vessel that took them to a key.
