IMSS begins basification of health workers
With the above in mind, the IMSS joined the government of Veracruz to deliver 3,328 bases to health workers incorporated into the Decentralized Public Body (OPD) IMSS-Wellbeing in the entity.
During this first stage, the employment situation of people who perform medical, nursing and paramedical disciplines, and who are hired under precarious or temporary conditions, was regularized.
Based on the above, the symbolic delivery of 10 appointments of basification in a ceremony led by the general director of Social Security, Zoé Robledo, and the state governor, Cuitláhuac García Jiménez; In addition, the general director of the OPD IMSS-Bienestar, Alejandro Calderón Alipi, attended.
In this way, a total of 3,328 workers were based and they are the first of several generations that will be part of the OPD IMSS Bienestar.

How many health workers are missing to be basified?

What are the priorities of the IMSS?
For her part, Zoé Robledo said that her priorities are to recover abandoned hospitals, improve infrastructure, grow and strengthen First and Second Level units.

Meanwhile, the governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García Jiménez, reiterated the intervention of health centers and hospitals through 550 major maintenance and renovations, 46 new constructions that include total replacement and 61 rescued properties, for an amount greater than 3,606 million of pesos from 2019 to date.
“We have already started with the bases and what better than having the paper in hand. “The health sector of Veracruz will be distinguished by its dedication and commitment, as well as during the health emergency.”
For her part, the general practitioner of the Tlaquilpan community and representative of the based personnel, Dr. Elvitz Alejandra Lendechy Zetina, said that they were designated to occupy a permanent position in IMSS-Bienestar after several years of working under contracts.
