As already reported, according to the order of President Ilham Aliyev, Samir Musa oglu Rzayev was appointed president of the Azerbaijan Airlines Closed Joint Stock Company (AZAL).
Day.Az reports that in 2022, by the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev, Samir Musa oglu Rzayev was appointed first vice president of the Azerbaijan Airlines Closed Joint Stock Company. Prior to this appointment, Samir Rzayev was vice president of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC.
Let us recall that in 2022, changes were made to the Charter of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC. Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a corresponding resolution. After the changes, the board consists of 7 people – the president, 2 first vice-presidents and 4 vice-presidents of the company. Previously, the board consisted of the president, first vice-president and other vice-presidents of the company.
It should be noted that after graduating from the Azerbaijan State Economic University, Samir Rzayev continued his studies at Durham University in the UK in 2003-2004. At the same university he received a master’s degree in Finance and Investments.
He worked as a sales director at the Bravo supermarket chain Azərbaycan Supermarket LLC, owned by one of the leading companies in the country, PASHA Holding. In 2009-2017, he was the head of the financial department at the Azerbaijan Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund.
In February 2022, by the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev, Samir Rzayev was appointed vice-president of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, and in November – first vice-president of this company.
