In Baku, in the modern art gallery Leyla Khazar Art Qallery, the opening of the exhibition “In the Footsteps of Heritage” (İrsin izi ilə) took place following the results of a week-long art symposium of Azerbaijani artists, which was held in Shabran, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend. The project was organized by Leyla Khazary Art Qallery and Shabran Wellbeing Resort.

Artists Eldar Babazadeh, Mir Azer Abdullayev, Erkin Alakberli, Ali Maharram, Emin Askerov, Roya Hasan, Anar Huseynzadeh, Elshan Karaja, Elnur Mahmudov, Javid Mamedov, Tarana Seyid and Rauf Shamilzadeh created their new works almost online, right during symposium. These colorful works became the decoration of the exhibition.

Leyla Khazary, head of Leyla Khazary ArtGallery, chairman of “Azərbaycan Mədani İrs Sanatkarlyğa Dastek ve Kreativ Sanaye” OO and founder-director of Ateshgah art center Aiten Hasanova, art director of Shabran Wellbeing Resort Arif Ibadullaev, lecturer of the design department of the State University of Culture spoke at the event. and art Mir Azer Abdullaev.

The importance of the project in popularizing the rich national heritage, traditions and examples of ancient art of the Azerbaijani people was noted. The embodiment of ancient forms of art in paintings created by modern artists leads to a unique creation of bridges between centuries, harmony and unity of national heritage and modern painting. At the same time, the “In the Footsteps of Heritage” project (the first was carried out in 2022) is also aimed at increasing attention to the tourism potential of the picturesque corners of Azerbaijan.

Project participants were awarded special diplomas.
