/ The management of Zakho Club announced, on Wednesday, that it had contracted with a Colombian professional to represent Zakho football in the Iraqi Football Stars League.

Club president Ammar Farhad told Agency, “The administration did not reach an agreement with a Brazilian player to represent Zakho football, which forced it to agree with a Colombian player to represent Zakho for the remainder of the league in the winter transfers.”

He added, “The administration, in agreement with the coach of the Qatari team, Talal Al-Balushi, contracted the Colombian professional, Darwin Lopez, during the winter transfer period to be one of the members of the Zakho team during the next stage.”

The Nawroz club management also signed Brazilian left-back Wilnington Dasilva, coming from the Uzbek team Bunyodkor.

The Brazilian player will represent Newroz Football for the remainder of the Iraq Stars League matches for the 2023-2024 season.
