Palmeiras, owned by Portuguese coach Abel Ferreira, beat Portuguesa 2-0 on Wednesday night, in a match related to the Campeonato Paulista. The goals were scored by Flaco López, in the 67th minute, and by Gabriel Menino, in stoppage time.

Despite the positive result, the Portuguese coach pointed out, at the end of the match, errors in finishing and a passive attitude on the part of the team at certain moments. Furthermore, he was held responsible for some of goalkeeper Weverton’s mistakes. “When we try to innovate and be better, there is always a learning process. It’s my responsibility,” he said.

With this triumph, Abel Ferreira’s team takes the lead in the competition with 24 points.
