The National Directorate of Security at Sports Events, in coordination with the Ministry of National Security and the Ministry of Justice and Security of Mendoza, requested Migrations to provide expulsion from the country of the 22 Chilean Colo-Colo fans accused of different crimes committed in the city of Mendoza last Thursday, February 22, after the match with Godoy Cruzwhile resolving to ban him from entering any sporting event for life.
The 22 fans face charges for aggravated robbery gang, possession of a knife and, one of them, for sexual abuse with carnal access to the detriment of a woman in Plaza Almirante Brown in the city of Mendoza.
All of them had been arrested in Mendoza for different crimes committed after the end of the first leg match between Godoy Cruz and Colo-Colo (0-1) for Phase 2 of the Copa Libertadores, which this Thursday the 29th will have its rematch in Santiago de Chile .
The accused
The defendants about whom the decision was made were identified by sources as Alejandro Rilan Jiménez Miranda, accused of aggravated threats; Cristian Ignacio Guzman Olguín, Jiovanny Willian Tello Cerda, Oscar Domingo Ignacio Contreras Contreras, Guillermo Ignacio Leyes Pereira, Nicolás Andrés Paredes Gatica, Dafne Calderón Moraga, Catrina Andrea Romero Ávila, Emilio Ignacia Valdez and a 14-year-old adolescent, all arrested for “theft aggravated in town and band”.
Ignacio Baltazar Maulen Jara, Mauricio Herbert Molina Mansilla and Daniel Alejandro Maulen Jara are also accused of the same crime.
Added to the list are John Alexis Duran Sánchez, Esteban Pérez and Patricio Pineda Aracena, William Mella, Jonathan Mella, José Jaime Novoa Garrido and Jesús Alejandro Días Mellea, all accused of “possession of a knife.”
The sexual abuse case
Meanwhile, the Chilean Jonnhy Francisco Olivares Ponce was delayed for background checks, while Ricardo Antonio Hernández faces charges of “aggravated sexual abuse with carnal access”the spokespersons added.
This last defendant, who arrived in the city of Mendoza last week to witness the meeting, was formally accused of the abuse this Tuesday and was housed in the Boulogne Sur Mer Penitentiary Complex.
The incident occurred in the early hours of last Friday, February 23, once the match had finished, when a 28-year-old girl called 911 to report that she had been raped.
The young woman said that the aggressor had been a Colo Colo supporter who was celebrating with a group of other fans of the Chilean club.
A police car went to the scene and interviewed the woman., who reported that he was leaving the Central hospital when he came across the group of fans. Then one of the Chileans took her inside Almirante Brown Plazaon Alem and Montecaseros streets, and began to abuse her, in addition to insulting and threatening her.
With the precise data provided by the victim, the police personnel deployed an operation and managed to find, through the security cameras in the area, the Chilean citizen accused as the alleged abuser.
