A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and WindEurope on cooperation in the field of wind energy, Day.Az reported on Friday with reference to Trend.
The document was signed during the Azerbaijan-European Union round table on the topic “Development of the use of offshore wind energy” with the participation of the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov, the European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson, the Director General of the European Wind Energy Association WindEurope Giles Dixon within the framework of the 10th ministerial meeting Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council and the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council in Baku.
The document reflects issues of wind energy projects, exchange of knowledge and best practices related to the development of interconnectors for the provision of electricity, cooperation on the green energy corridor Caspian-Black Sea-Europe.
