H Cat Janice passed away yesterday at the age of 31, as her family announced through a post on Instagram.

The musician became famous in the last few months during which he managed to release the song Dance You Outta My Head, which arrived at n. 5 of the iTunes ranking and started to become very popular through TikTok.

The young woman, who wrote the track with her young son and songwriter Max Vernon, wanted to leave her child a source of income for when he would pass away, due to the rare form of cancer he had contracted.

The family’s statement read:

“This morning, inside the home where she grew up, surrounded by her family who loved her so much, Catherine entered the arms of her creator in heaven.

We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love for Catherine and our family over the past few months. Cat has seen her music go places she never expected it to go and rests in peace knowing she will continue to support her son through music.

This would be impossible without you.

Thank you”

The announcement noted, among other things, that Cat Janice left behind some instructions to her family, which will be made public in due course. Our thoughts are all with seven-year-old Loren, who has been the priority of Cat Janice’s life and for whose safety she has truly done everything humanly possible.
