The mining company Anglo American acquired the remaining 45% of the hectares of the Los Nogales Nature Sanctuary, located in the commune of Lo Barnechea, in the Metropolitan Region.

Regarding this transaction, the company’s vice president of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Juan Pablo Schaeffersaid that: “At Anglo American, we have very specific goals around climate change and biodiversity conservation. As part of our Sustainable Mining Planwe have the goal of generating a positive effect in nature by 2030. In this sense, the conservation of the Los Nogales Nature Sanctuary will continue to be our priority“.
