Nigerian Victor Osimhen, the Napoli striker, excelled and scored a hat-trick against Sassuolo during the match between the two teams, in the postponed match of the 21st round of the Italian League.
Osimhen started the match, and was able to score three goals in the 31st, 41st and 47th minutes, reaching goal No. 5 in the 3 matches he played since his return from national duty with the Nigerian national team.
The Opta statistics network reported that Osimhen became the third player in Napoli’s history to reach at least 10 goals in 4 consecutive seasons in the Italian League.
She added that only the late Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona achieved this number in the period from (1984-1985 to 1987-1988), and the Italian Attila Salustro in the period from (1929-1930 to 1932-1933).
