This event will be held at the National Theater, located in the Historic Center of San Salvador, near the area where thousands of people gathered on February 4 to celebrate the victory at the polls of the New Ideas candidate, Nayib Bukele, who He gave a speech from the National Palace.

Bukele will assume the position of president not only legitimized by the five judges of the TSE, who on February 17 signed the minutes of the final scrutiny that declared the electoral results final, but also by the support of 2,701,725 ​​Salvadorans who voted for five more years. of his presidential administration.

Nayib Bukele’s historic victory at the polls (obtaining support from 84.65% of the valid votes) attempted to be taken away by the opposition political parties (ARENA, FMLN, VAMOS and Nuestro Tiempo) in three moments: the first, by filing briefs before the TSE to prevent the registration of the cyan candidacy, arguing unconstitutionality in the presidential re-election, rejecting the ruling of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice that enabled the second immediate term. Despite the political pressure exerted by these parties, the writings were rejected by the Court.

Finding themselves unsuccessful in the first attempt, the opposition requested the annulment of the aforementioned registration, which was also rejected. Finally, after the elections, the opposition requested the annulment of the final count and therefore of the elections that declared Nayib Bukele as the winner; however, like the two previous occasions, the collegiate body rejected the requests.

Despite the opposition’s questions, the international community, as well as national and foreign electoral observers, recognized the transparency of the process and validated the results that gave Nayib Bukele the winner of the presidential election, and recognized the triumph of Nuevas Ideas by win 54 of the 60 deputies of the Legislative Assembly for the 2024-2029 triennium.
