American media reported that fishermen discovered what is believed to be a reconnaissance balloon near the coast of the American state of Alaska.
She said that the fishermen will hand over the balloon to the FBI after they arrive at the port within the next two days after they submitted pictures of the balloon to American security agencies.
The balloon is expected to be transported to an FBI laboratory, where it will be analyzed.
It is noteworthy that in February 2023, the United States announced the downing of a Chinese reconnaissance balloon, and the Pentagon said at the time that the balloon was collecting intelligence information.
The incident resulted in some tensions in relations between the United States and China, as US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken postponed his scheduled visit to China.
