A Nigerian diplomat visits the Prime Minister of Niger
Ouagadougou, March 1 (AIB) – The ambassador of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria in Niamey, Sani Usmane, was received, on the morning of this Friday, the Nigerian Prime Minister, Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine.
According to the Nigerien press agency which reported the information, the Nigerian diplomat made no statement to the media following the interview.
Relations between Niger and Nigeria have suddenly deteriorated since the coming to power in July 2023 of General Tiani in Niamey, marked by a unilateral interruption by Abuja of electricity supplied to Niger and an intention to wage war for install the deposed president Bazoum into power.
