by time news

When it comes to big Scandinavian names in Hollywood, Swedish Rebecca Ferguson (40) is quickly in the top tier.

She already has several major roles behind her, and these days she is currently in the cinema with the critically acclaimed sci-fi epic “Dune: Part Two”, opposite, among others, Timothée Chalamet (28) and Zendaya (27).

It is in connection with an interview in the podcast “Reign with Josh Smith” that Rebecca Ferguson (40) reveals a harrowing episode with a big star that occurred during a film shoot.

– I made a film with a complete idiot of a co-star. This person was incredibly insecure and angry because he was unable to get his scenes done, she begins in the interview that is shared X/Twitter.

So far in his career, Ferguson has played against several of the biggest Hollywood stars. Among others, Cruise in two “Mission Impossible” films, Hugh Jackman in “The Greatest Showman” (2017), Jake Gyllenhaal in “Life” (2017) and Emily Blunt in “The Girl on the Train” (2016).

Throughout the podcast interview, Ferguson is careful not to say which film it is about, or to reveal the name or gender of the opponent in question.

– This person literally stared at me in front of the entire film crew and said, “You call yourself an actor? Is this what I have to work on?”. I stood there and just broke down, says Ferguson, who remembers that she cried when she left the set.

– Because this person was number one on the cast list, there was no safety net for me. Nobody stood up for me.

Replaced face with tennis ball

Ferguson says in the interview that this episode was to be the first time she stood up for herself as an actor on set. When she returned the next day, she had clearly informed the person concerned:

– You get off my set. You can go to hell. I’m going to play against a tennis ball, I never want to see you again.

According to Ferguson, a producer approached her and said they couldn’t send the actor in question away.

– I replied: “The person can turn around and I can play against the back of the head”. And I did. I was so scared. I can still feel that feeling as I sit here and tell about it.

The Rock wants answers

After Ferguson’s story went viral on social media, she has, among other things, received massive support from action star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (51).

“Hate to see this, but love to see her stand up to bullshit,” Johnson writes X/Twitter.

The two have known each other since the recording of “Hercules” in 2014. Incidentally, here we find both Aksel Hennie (48), Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (43) and Tobias Santelmann (43) on the cast list.

“Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I would like to find out who did this,” Johnson continues.
