Citizens continue to ask questions to Armen Ashotyan, a political prisoner in “Nubarashen” prison, RPA vice-chairman.

Anastasia Tarverdyan asked the RPA vice president a question. “Is the change of power possible this year?” He also wondered whether the current government will be held accountable for its actions.

“The change of power is not only possible, but also necessary.

Do not look at the large-scale repressions, they are the consequences of Nicol’s weakness. Do not look at the audacity and impudence of the authorities, they are the result of the distrust of Nikol and those who serve him. Do not look at the despair around you, despair is a sin, and any sin needs repentance and forgiveness.

Among others, it is known that energy does not run out and does not disappear, but is transformed from one type to another. Today, the energy of self-love, honor, and justice of the Armenian people is spreading in homes, kitchens, collectives, everywhere, and with the right opportunity, it will transform from its current scattered state into a united and determined fist.

As for punishing the perpetrators of these 6-year nightmare and tragedies, I can guarantee you with my personal promise: justice for the accused, punishment for the guilty, restored solidarity for the people.

In everyday conversation, we Armenians like to use the expression “I will bear the pain”, which, if I am not mistaken, is only found in Armenian. Now our country is in such a state that it needs people to bear its pain. Let’s try as a nation, every day before or after prayer, in mind or out loud, alone or together, but always believe and say from the heart: “I will bear your pain, Armenia”. And you will see what energy and strength you get to manage your own destiny and stop the dethronement of the Motherland,” replied Armen Ashotyan.
