Under the leadership of RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, the regular session of the Management Council for the restoration and improvement of the North-South road corridor, M-6, Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate highway, Urban Sustainable Development Investment and Northern Corridor modernization projects was held.

During the session, issues related to the construction of the 7 km long tunnel around Kajaran and the implementation of the investment project for the reconstruction of the approaching roads were discussed. The progress of the implementation of Tranche 3, Lanjik-Gyumri section of the North-South road corridor investment project and the existing problems were also raised. Approval was given to the proposal to build additional entrances to Akunk, Mastara and Lanjik settlements.

The importance of carrying out the expropriation and resettlement process for the construction of Tranche 4, Sisian-Kajaran section, and the need to involve a professional group for that purpose, was emphasized. A procurement process for relevant services has been commissioned.

Issues regarding the completion stage of the M-6, Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate highway restoration and improvement project were also considered. In order to ensure proper supervision during the quality guarantee period of the works, the need to extend the service period of the technical supervisor was discussed.
